Mobile detailer vs Detail shop pricing
Discussion
Hey there - I am looking at getting my car professionally detailed to remove swirl marks. The car is a light colour.
So far quotes have ranged from £200 for a full day detail from a mobile detailer to £800-£1k at a detailer shop.
Does anyone know why there is such a huge price differential? The mobile guys have said they use a gazebo to ensure they are working inside. I understand on-premises places have additional overheads but wondering if I am going to get a much different service from a mobile detailer?
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

Theres also different levels of correction quality depending on the detailer.
Some will just buzz over the surfaces with a 5" doing a cutting and finishing pass, more expensive detailers will spend the time with different machines and pad sizes and compound types to get into every nook and cranny and reduce marks as much as possible.
An example of the latter quality of detailing is "White Details" on Youtube.
Some may also be quoting for some kind of protection product too.
