A cloth just makes it worse

It’s the internal trim on the windscreen of a Saab 9-3

I can scrape my nail and it takes a layer off - not ideal.

Look horrible - anyone?

Co-moulded soft touch stuff degrades after a while and that's the result; most of the time it can be removed with meths or Isopropyl alcohol, although scraping as much as possible with a scraper will make the job quicker.
