Polish by hand, polish with drill and polishing compound, brilliant for 40 seconds then the marks come back again!

Cant answer that sorry but they may need a lot more cut to remove it with some wet and dry.

As above, those will need sanding.

I tried a wetted sanding block which produced the same effect, perfect transparency when wet then spot’s returned when dry.
More sanding seems like the only solution.

Do you not need to use a neutraliser? The Chemical Guys do a waterspot remover, that may help. In an orange bottle.
