Noticed a small tear in the roof of our convertible, it's right on the edge where the roof meets the top of the windscreen.

Anyone know if there is a suitable bonding/glue that I could fill the hole with and to stop the tear spreading?

Not sure if it is catching when the roof retracts and stores in the rear of the car?

Strongest glue I have used is tiger seal. Not sure what its like on fabric so check.

It wont look pretty though.

Have a look at the reviews of the stuff. A tent is different to a car roof, hard to know really without trying it to be honest. Maybe try that, then if no luck go for the tiger seal. If the cars expensive may be worth seeing about a professional repair while its small. When I had a tear in my MX5 manual roof, I tried stitching, taping the lot. Over time was like a sinking ship.

I think once you get a tear, its a bit like noticing your hairs going thin... its just the beginning!

If you glue it, the general area will be that bit more taught and may end up with a rip a few centimetres away. If its in an area with little movement, might get away with just having a permanent small tear.

Looking at that, the fabric is "catching" somewhere. The fabric is damaged in these specific places, not normal wear and tear.

I'd look carefully at the stowing process and see where it is catching. No use "repairing" if it's going to tear again the first time you put it down.
