Hi all

My detailer is trying to convince me to change from Gtechniq to Kamikaze. I have tried to do some research into Kamikaze on the internet, including finding reviews. However, there doesn’t seem to be too much about it on the internet (at least U.K. based sites). I have found a thread on here where a detailer called Paddy something said it was very good. But that’s about it.

Has anyone had this product applied to their car and/or can anyone comment on it at all? I usually have Gtechniq CSU plus EXO. I am considering getting Kamikaze Enrei.

I’m just a bit concerned about trying something different when there isn’t really much out there (available to me) to say it is as good as or better than Gtechniq.

Any comments would be welcome.

Thanks

What's their reasoning for getting you to change?...I don't mean a sales pitch, more so actual benefits.

CSU/EXO, especially the latter in V5 form is very difficult to improve on.

Cheers,

Chris

I don’t think there is any ulterior motive. They just seem to think it is a better product, including offering more gloss and depth.

I am not sure how busy this section of the forum is but the fact no one has come on here to say it is a brilliant product and the general lack of reviews on the internet doesn’t fill me with confidence.

GT were early players and in many ways helped create th Uk detailing market. The market exploded very quickly and they were prime position for companies / individuals who wanted to get into this area, as they offered a system.
At this point they were almost unopposed it was organic growth on mass
Today there is large scale investment in product development and a wider understanding of the chemistry
Many feel myself included that Gt lag behind in adoption of new advancements, a problem if your Top of the tree!
If you want to follow the crowd go GT
Individuals will seek Pioneers its about a relationship with your detailer he requires a happy client
Kamikaze is a individuals brand a premium product and yes i have applied it several times.
Its a glossy product with sharp definition on reflections highly suited to darker colours
Its not the brand its the detailer you should concern yourself with.
My clients rarely ask me what products I use, they just say can you Ceramic Coat xyz for me.
Why because they have the confidence in my experience
Hope this helps

I can’t offer any information on kamikaze however I do know that certain detailers have relationships with different manufacturers and suppliers.

So the chances are your man has changes supplier or kamikaze have approached him with a better deal to stock and promote their products - so he’s went with that. Hopefully he’s a good guy though and believes in the product he’s selling you.
