I don’t clean my car that often and I noticed today as I did last time that when using bilt hamber surfex hd I basically can’t use it eg on interior plastics it as it leaves white bits see pic. Hard to photograph but obvious in real life.

It had also blocked the nozzle of my spray bottle, I had to run under very hot water and work it through to get it working.

I presume it’s this sugar or plant based ingredients / solution they use. Bloody annoying and makes it useless. Is it just me. Why are all reviews so wonderful if this is what happens when you haven’t used it for a few weeks.

Its very strong stuff, what sort of dilution ratio are you using?

I've never had an issue using it at the recommended 2% dilution for interior use.

Will make new batch then, I think it might have been 10%

10% is recommended for heavy cleaning or degreasing such as alloy wheels etc. if doing a gentle interior wipe down then 1-2% should be about right.

As above, increase dilution ratio and give the bottle a jolly good shake before using.

I have found that if you leave diluted Surfex HD for a while (i.e. couple of weeks) it will separate and when trying to remix by giving it a stir or shake, you then get white bits and lumps suspended in it, which may explain the white specs and the blocked nozzle if your using it infrequently.
I only discovered this as I tend to mix mine in a clear spray bottle.

I've never really rated Surfex HD tbh - tried it a few times and didnt get on with it. Ive stuck with a good citrus cleaner and have never had any issues cleaning interiors even if its mixed up at winter clean levels (im too lazy to mix up multiple dilutions)
