Can anyone recommend the best product to use for this please or is best to take to a specialist as I don't want to make a mess of it (its on an Aston Martin).

I found this stuff on Google but has anyone used it and can advise whether or not its any good?

Have your badges still got the foam attached because that's a glue that sticks to the foam.
If you don't have the foam it won't work in which case you'll need some double sided foam tape.
There's loads on ebay of various prices but 3M is usually of a higher quality, Screwfix sell it too

No the badge does not have foam and does not look like it was ever attached with foam to begin with - it just has remnants of a clear adhesive on the back of it. It is metal rather rather than plastic and is flat rather than hollow on the back.

Can anyone advise what best to use on it please? Thanks.

These type of badges are invariably fitted with double-sided self-adhesive foam sandwich, the foam acting as a levelling cushion to ensure the maximum surface area contact for a secure bond. A new badge usually comes with it pre-cut to shape and already fitted. And most times the foam cannot be bought separately, much to the annoyance of body shops.
I say invariably, because I have no idea what AML have been using since 1960s (on the ones I've restored it's been brass 6BA nuts!), but I'm sure that your local AM Dealer/Indy specialist where you have it maintained will know.

Trim tape. Loads on Amazon or Ebay. As above, 3M is the best.

Thanks - have looked online but cant find any 3M tapes that are thin enough to not leave the badge protruding slightly other than this one:

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40065726/

However it does not appear to be available in the UK - just the US.

All that keeps coming up on all my searches is this but it states that it is for badges that already have a foam back which mine doesn't - it is a solid metal back:

https://signgeer.com/adhesives-tapes/wrap-tapes/3m...

Can anyone direct me to the correct product to use please? Many thanks.

You can get clear double sided tape that isn't foam backed.
If your badges are perfectly flat that should work.
I've bought some off eBay in the past
