Bought off Fleabay, looked ok in the ad, but in reality the metal looks very 'grainy'...how to get them smooth n shiny?

At a guess they have been refurbished, badly, Blasted with course media, hence the pitting,

Get them refurbished properly and it will solve the problem.

To achieve smooth & shiny on those wheels they will need stripping back to bare metal before being repainted.

You could spend ages with 1000grit & finer sandpaper down to 2000-3000 grit followed by polishing the remaining paint but the surface looks so dimpled I'd be amazed if there is enough paint to achieve a smooth enough surface.

Thanks..OK off to find a competitively priced refurb company...should have saved my money and just bought some crap ones....

Where are you located OP, I’ve been in the game 25 yrs, so May know someone in your area,

You mention Lepsons, I know a couple of good guys that neck of the woods.

Unfortunately the usual acid dip and repaint refurb places won’t want to put the labour in refinishing those

Not sure why not, high build powder primer would smooth that out no problem at all.
