Boot Air Pressure Vent Question
Discussion
May not get an answer to this one but here goes...
Until recently I never understood what those odd flappy vents hidden in the boot area of all modern cars, that is until I bought a Nissan Pulsar where for some unfathomable reason, these vents have been removed and the body welded up!
So the doors don't shut without force, same with the boot and it's annoying me. So I want to make some holes in the boot sides (below rear bumper line) and fit some vents to hopefully solve the pressure issue.
My question is, is there a formula or a rule of thumb for what size vents I'd need? Space is tight and I can probably fit some 80mm diameter circular vents but I don't want to cut the body without knowing if they'll work.
I tried opening the rear windows incrementally until the doors would shut normally and I had to open them a fair way!
Anyone any thought?
