Any tips for what to use for painting the brake disk bell / hub? Current disks bells are painted black (done 6 years ago by detailer) rather than the grey primer they arrive in, and have lasted really well, but new brake disks will mean rusty grey primer in a couple of months unless I sort them. Would prefer something I can brush on, some have said hammerite but I don’t think it has the temp resistance. VHT all seems to be spray cans that I’ve found. Is engine enamel suitable? (I know not to paint the hub face etc.)
Thanks

Try a google 'brush on vht paint'.
You'll have more choices than you'll know what to do with
Random pick (not used this one personally): www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224148440775

Or get yourself a pot of motorcycle cylinder paint like this: www.ebay.co.uk/p/2009642640
Which I have used many times on the cast iron head & barrels on my old BSA twin & not had any problems.

I use any paint suitable for metal, Hammerite or whatever Lidl/Aldi might have, always paint the unswept parts of the discs (calipers too) in black, can't stand seeing rusty discs through the wheels, paint has never lifted or bubbled but i don't drive on the brakes.
