Alcantara dying
Discussion
Hi. I've recently put a deposit on a Lotus Evora. Seems good apart from the alcantara covered trim down the A pillars which has faded considerably, ( looks almost light blue and should be dark grey ).
I've done a quick search a suitable grey dye but can't see anything specifically for the job.
Does anyone know of a suitable product..?
It's 68% polyester, 32% polyurethane apparently.
Would a carpet dye work?
I'm hoping to mask the dash etc and dye them in situ..
Any help appreciated..

You might want to try giving Furniture Clinic a call.

I've used them for leather restoration/colouring, but they do other fabric paints too. They also colour matched my leather from a sample, so might be able to do that for you as well. At least they might be able to tell you what's possible.
