Hi

I’m fortunate to be looking at a used Porsche, and have recorded the following paint depths. Rear quarter stand out as having been painted or replaced?

Appreciate any thoughts.

I’m no expert but I guess it’s thicker due to the panel being quite curvy and shaped so needs more paint to get a consistant finish. I’d say they were fine - anything over 200 is where it would flag alarm bells

What does it look like. Does a good repair devalue?

Doesn't look like it's been repaired to me as the roof is also high but not the doors or boot so it's not been blown in.

Looks ok. Original paint on my Golf measures ~120 micron and re sprayed panels are in the 250-350 micron range so a big difference.

Interestingly the Porsche you’re looking at has thin clear on the boot like the one in this video.
