Is it possible to paint a flexible rubber boot lip spoiler?

I would like to stick a boot lip spoiler, a low profile, on the edge of the rear hatch.
I was just going for the flexible rubber type and would like to paint it to match the car (silver) as I don't want black.
Is it possible to paint flexible rubber and any recommendations ?
