Old E30 not washed in years
Discussion
Would like a little advice please. Recently picked up a White E30, it had been left on a drive for two years.
The paints really flat and had a lot of green algae and some shotgun fungus on it. I've used a few pre washes and snowfoams. Didn't really cut it.
I had some TFR but was reluctant to use it.
I've dug the sponge out and given it a good clean with a strong shampoo, it's lifted 99% of contaminants off but it's left microscopic bits on the paint leaving it very rough to the touch. I've had a read and some of the orange spots are possibly rail dust/fallout. But there's also black and brown spots.
I'm a bit reluctant to get a polisher/cutting compound on it as it really feels like these bits need to come off first, they feel embedded. Any ideas on a system/method of ridding them before I take the oxidation off with a light cut/polish.
Thanks in advance.
