Help appreciated in buying car polish, usually use meguiars because I could buy it at wholesale price, this is no longer available to me.

Do not need to achieve detailing standards just keep the car looking smart, wife’s Kia I just like it looking smart. Car is red colour so I feel it helps protect the paint from fading.

Anyone recommend a polish that is easy to apply and lasts more than a week, the days of original Simoniz wax are long gone for me.

You can do a lot worse than Autoglym Super Resin polish....less is more when applying!

Cheers,

For wax, the new ceramic spray and rinse products are pretty good, I use Meguiar's, but the Turtle Wax one also gets good reviews.

Second Autoglym Super Resin Polish.

It’s my favourite of them all.

SRP is great if a little hard work. Most of the manufacturers do a single stage polish and protect type thing.

The idea of red fading also dissapeared a long time ago, the paint technology has moved on so if the car was made in the last 5-10 years it shouldn't be an issue.

Car is 2014, 8K miles reliable so reluctant to get rid of it. Thanks for info re red paint, unaware of that always thought water based paint were rubbish so maybe not so bad.

I used Autoglym Ultra High Definition Wax and literally couldn’t get a crushed tissue to sit on the bonnet afterwards, it just slid off.
I know not very scientific but seems very good if a bit pricy.

I've been using 303 Graphene Nano Spray. It's a simple wipe on buff on, and seems to work quite well. I last applied it about 6 months ago, and it makes subsequent maintenance washes easy. Water still beads now, so hoping I wont need to apply again until next spring.

I also applied it to the wheels and they just need a quick rinse and wipe over.

I have used that often in the past, but now just Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner seems to do the trick for me.

A polish wont last as you mentioned, it'll add a shine & gloss, for a lasting product to keep that shine locked in you'll need a wax or sealant, if you're a lazy bugger I'd suggest something along the line of Autoglym polar seal, you just add it to a snowfaom lance or your pressure washer bottle thingy, spray all over the car, rinse & dry

The instructions suggest it'll last 2-3 months, I applied it to my car at the end of September & it's still going strong now so I reckon I'll easily see 3 months before having to re-apply, for the cost of it you cant go wrong

Autoglym Resin polish is the only polish we use. Not cheap but gives a very good finish.
One step further Mothers CMX Sio2 and Ti02 Ceramic coating is superb . Again , very easy to use.

Autoglym SRP followed by a coat of their Extra Gloss. This is the best combo I have found.

I usually recommend most people do a shampoo, super resin polish and then a coat of wax once every 3/4 months.

In between that just use a good shampoo like that one you are using.

As a suggestion I’d really recommend trying a coat of Autoglyms rapid aqua wax as you go to dry your car.

SRP for me too, followed by Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax. Nice and easy on both fronts as long as you don't put too much SRP on.....

SRP is great but needs protection over the top of it, I’d maybe look at Autoglyms spray wax offering too unless you want to splash out on their HD wax.

Autobrite Direct Cherry Glaze is an amazing a well-priced AIO. You get zero dust and you can actually use it to clean up and plastic trim!
