I have my car rust proofed by Waxoyl several months ago. Do I still need to wash the under chassis of the car regularly in the water for the mud and salt and if so, how? does the jet wash gonna remove the wax oil and make it less protective? Thank you smile

Every now and again run the mains pressure spray hose fitting over underneath, particulary useful after a day or two driving in rain, keep the wheelarches clear and pay special attention to the main areas that suffer from wheel spray...ie at the back end of the sills where even real Volvos rot through, also your brakes will benefit from a good wash down to remove the salt and don't forget to rinse off the muck that gets driven in through the grill and radiator from vehicles in front.

Pressure washing isn't desirable or necessary unless pre prepping a car for rustproofing or for cleaning out years of accululated muck from a seriously neglected (ie 99% of them) vehicle, an L shaped lance fitting for a high volume (not high pressure) pressure washer is best for intensive cleaning...good pressuire washers are not about high pressure, its high flow rate that counts copious water without damaging pressure.

Do the underbody rinse off now and again during the winter and really through wash down in April when the salt has gone.

catch 22 isnt it....wash all the nasty salt off and take off some protection or leave the salt on to attack

id continue with a gentle wash , it shouldnt fall off with a quick cold wash

Bilt hamber atom Mac is a product that is supposed to be good for rinsing underneath etc and adding extra protection.
Not cheap though.

I stick a cheap lawn sprinkler on the end of a hose and drag it under the car every now and then in winter. It's easy to do, fairly low pressure, and enough to give things a rinse.
