Hi all,

I've been cleaning my wheels for some time with either Autoglym 'Magma' or Bilberry wheel cleaner and I find that a cloudy residue is left after cleaning, to the point where it'll show once the car is dry. The only way to remove it is to apply some wheel polish (like Poorboys) which seems to eliminate it for some but it comes back.

Any ideas for permanent removal?

I think I'm heading towards a ceramic coat on the car, and to extend this to the calipers and wheel barrels/faces (big, heavy car produces lots of brake dust).

Without seeing them it sounds like they've had a poor refurb previously and the products have now degraded the finish.
Ceramic coating will not improve them, only a proper refurb..

Any photo's?

Cheers,

Chris

I only use a dedicated wheel cleaner once a year, the rest of the time I just use some wheel shampoo once a week to keep them looking good.
