My car was sadly damaged in the storm the other day, and I am trying to get an indication to if it will be written off or not.

The roof is damaged, and the seal above passenger window is dented in several places. Also some paint damage on panels and a broken wing mirror.

(Medium tree fell on the car and was blown around it for a period of time)

Does anyone know if it is likely a write off or repairable, as I’m concerned that the roof damage is not going to be economical. 😭

Honda Civic 2018 40k has retail price of about £16,000.

However the glass roof doesn’t look like it will open, as the edge of the panel behind is rippled

If the glass roof doesn't open then probably a write off as those things usually cost a fortune

The insurer tried to write off my daughters car, took it away on a transporter to "assess" and offered a settlement. I demanded that the car that I own was returned back. It was. Then we negotiated.

That looks fixable but if no seals are broken and the glass roof id okay it will be filled and sanded.
