DIY Design Painting

Hi All

Am going to be designing and painting a logo to go on my boyfriends race car.

Is there any such material that you can buy and use as a stencil, that will stick to the car whilst you spray paint over it, and not damage paint work when removed?

You used to be able to get some stuff called Frisk film from artists suppliers, so might be worth asking.

Other option is cover the entire panel with strips of wide masking tape, draw your design on that and use sharp craft knife to carefully cut out bits covering where you want to paint.

lol its a good idea with the masking tape... Only one reason why I didnt do it in the first place is its a checkered flag design the lenght of the car!
