Can anybody recommend a good body shop in South East (ideally Surrey / Sussex) that might be able to blend / re spray a flip paint mgtf? It has a couple of dented panels.

Thanks

I can't reccomend anywhere, but as I'm sure you know it isn't the easiest. My Dad's TF had the front bumper resprayed and it looked like it had been done off the car, and rotated 90°, it didn't even look the same colour.

I'm sure if you find a decent body shop they will be able to sort it.

A decent shop should be able to do it but expect to pay for a proper job. It's a ridiculous to put such an expnsive 3 stage paint on such a low value car IMO.

Even Nissan did it on a Micra with an orange/purple flip!

The 2 metalic silvers for TFs are
MNX Platignum Silver, (9303) 527218
MBB Starlight Silver AWZ000220

I have found 4 cars so far that has the wrong colour code on the ID plate.
MNX Platignum Silver is the darker of the 2 codes.

If you go to a decent car accessory store with your car they will give you a colour card which you can match which colour you need.
Halfords is totally useless when it comes to paint.

As said above MG did make mistakes with the metalic silver, if you go to Halfords they check by the car number plate,,, (often wrong code)
You need to check for yourself using both codes with a colour matching card.

Another MG colour mismatch to look out for is:IAU Mirage (2 coat) and IAS Mirage (3 coat)
I hope this helps

Mechspray in Rochester are one of the best in the South East, I'd give them a shout and get their opinion on it but as mentioned I think with anything flip-painted it can be very hard to match.

I'm going to assume that in the 8 years since his post, OP has got this sorted by now and likely even 'flipped' the car in question!
