evo 8 abs problem over 60mph
Discussion
hello every one have had problems with abs on my evo 8 and am starting to get a bit mithed with it to say the least the light was coming on once driving down the road so took it to mitsy and plugged it in , we changed one sensor and found that its still doing it, we then replaced the drive shaft as we found it had a tooth missing
now once you drive over 60 mph the brake the peddle polses back and the car is all over the place , ive changed the brake fluid
and have used 5.1 dot could this be the cause? i have bled it a number of times thinking it might be air i would take it back to mitsy but the light doesn't always come on but the peddle is always the same over 60. This is now a new problem and any help or pointers in some direction would be welcomed with open arms hehe
thanks

It is without a question an ABS problem. You should take it back to whoever did the driveshaft work and get them to put it right.
The brake fluid has nothing to do with this and from what you said I think you have done all you can.
The garage that has done the work sounds very poor, from what you said it sounds like they created the over 60mph brake problem. Never mind if the light is on or not you should take it back to them and insist they put it right.
If I were you I would be looking for them to do it free of charge as well.

we done the work ourselves! we replaced the driveshaft and the sensor and its also had a new hub. Now that the driveshaft with the tooth missing has been replaced the problem has changed from the light coming on after 5 mins to the light coming on at 60mph and the brakes fighting, just wondering if anyone has any other ideas to check/look for?
Thanks
