I am looking for a 253mm diameter, 5 stud, vented disk, identical to BG3585, which was used on some variants of the early 90’s Ford Granada Scorpio. So far, it seems that this part or any alternatives no longer exists from any supplier. Anyone got any ideas?

Hopefully this might give you something else to look into, alternate part numbers from other brands.

Thank you. I’ve been through all of them and they’re either solid or 4-stud. It seems I’m looking for rocking horse st!

Any idea on which version of the Granada ? I can see if I can find the Ford part number and work from there.

Thanks all for the help.

It looks like it was an option on all the non-cosworth variants. The reference vehicle I've been using is a Mk1 Granada Scorpio Estate (GGE), 1988-1994 with a 2.4/125hp engine. The Mk2 Scorpio (frogeye one) has the right size discs, but downgraded to a 4 bolt setup.

The 2.9 Cosworth got the larger 273mm rear discs, but it's a different upright to accomodate the larger dia, not a different caliper & slider. As this is for my old Ultima Spyder, I can't really change the upright and I don't have enough space to make a bracket - hence wanting the 252/3mm vented disc.

I guess the primary option is to downgrade to the solid disc variant - lots of disc & caliper availability still.

Try these.

They do say 260mm but then mention what appears to be your car in the fitting guide and also the BG3585 reference.

Apec allows you to search by dimensions

Does seem crazy that discs that would once have been everywhere for pennies, just aren't anymore.

If stuck, wouldn't worry much about bolt hols or centre bore ( as long as it's smaller and can be opened out. ). The disc can easily be drilled to suit your needs.

Or I'm sure you could make up some custom discs and bells if stuck.

Pretty sure I binned a couple a year or two ago lol.

If he's feeling flush for some racing discs

Although would be worth calling Burton anyway for all things Ford.

They look to be a solid disc.

He seems to be looking for the small vented rears.

MJA Brand - MB100411 fits the bill
National - NBD797

Definitely vented, definitely front, don't be swayed by the "generic" pic on the box, also mentions the OPs Delphi part number.

Thanks all for the help looking. Everything appears to be either out of stock or the 4 bolt version for the later model.
Looks like I'll have to go solid disc in the short term.

Ah, yes, missed the 4-bolt was blinded when I saw your part number.

ETA.

As someone said earlier, if the rest of the dimensions are correct, they can be re-drilled.

front or rear is irrelevant if sizes and swept area is ok.

Likewise bolt holes, just redrill to suit
