Needing some help my current car C Class 350cdi is in need for some alloys.

The current offset for the OEM wheels are fronts ET50, and rears ET54

Looking at some alloys that the offset if ET40 both and rear, so am I right in thinking on the rear this will push the wheel out 14mm?

Is that drastic or hardly noticable?

You are correct in that it will push the centre of the wheel.out by 14mm. How far out the edge of the wheel.comes will depend on the relative widths of the wheels.

There's a bunch of calculators online that will show you what happens, such as this one (just found on a Google search): https://www.offfset.com/pages/wheel-fitment-calcul...

the car will probably look a bit better with a little more offset - makes the wheels fill the arches nicely.

as for noticing any change in handling - probably not.
