Can anyone recommend some pads and discs for a Peugeot 208 GTI?

Something pretty decent, but not crazy expensive. The usual offerings on Euro Car Parts is of no interest and DS pads are perhaps on the steep side.

I've always used EBC yellow stuff pads and their drilled and grooved discs. Fitted to my Range Rover and my wife's MX5. Will also be fitted to my TVR come the time.

Always been consistently good, better than OEM and never squeal or warp.

Last year i was trying to get some for a customer and struggled. Im sure there 2 sizes and the bigger set was dealer only at the time and around £1000 all in. I think it was brembo set up.

The OEMs for Peugeot discs/pads are Brembo & Bosch (and Continental IIRC).

If any of those are available from EuroCarParts for cheaper than the dealer is offering, then why not buy them from there? As long as you stay away from their 'white label' or 'budget' offerings (Eicher or Audura) you will be fine.

If you want the 'premium' option then go for the Pagid version.

They are unlikely to be the same specification as the OEM product.

Cheers.

There appears to be three sizes of discs that can be on the front and I think they have different calipers used as well, which will affect the chosen pad, so will need to measure the discs (not my car)

From what I can gather:

266mm is the Bosch system (ATE caliper)
302mm is the Treves system (ATE caliper)
323 is the Brembo system/caliper

ECP have Bosch, Brembo and Pagid pads, although I'm not keen on Brembo now as they have become detached with the ones on my S4.

I was also thinking about EBC Ultimax?

Autodoc did the best price, but be prepared to wait although my order was pretty quick I think 5 days.

I've always found EBC discs to warp easily.

I once replaced an E36 headlamp assembly with a EuroCarParts version, it was absolute crap and nigh on impossible to align.

Discs do not warp, it is a build up of the pad friction material that causes the issues.

One single post on the internet, and bizarrely the world thinks discs cannot warp.

So so strange, and very much nonsense.
