Michelin tyres hard to get hold of?
Discussion
Just trying to source some Pilot Sports for my wife's Fiesta ST (205/40/18) and everywhere I've looked they don't have in stock.
Went with Black Circles to begin with as they claimed they had some in stock, but emailed last night to say that it was a mistake, but not to worry as we can have Conti Premium Contact 6s as a like-for-like substitute!! Told them no thanks.

Have them at Camskills, if you were to find someone to fit them.

Supply of the fancier Michelin tyres has been patchy for a long time now. Buy 'em when you see 'em. It's particularly challenging for anyone whose car needs a set of four with different sizes on each axle.
Whether it has anything to do with buyers wanting "fresh" tyres (i.e. a recent date code) I've no idea.

I've a V6 Exige that runs 17 inch Pilot Sport Cup 2 on the front (215/40/R17)-- or, well, it would except they aren't selling those in Europe at the moment. In Europe, the smallest you can buy are 18s. The rears are 18s and are easy to find (265/18/R35)
Edited to add: I've just been to look again and their stock is now crap too (It was fine in October 2022). Maybe Michelin is broken now?

Interesting. Ordered 4 x Michelin PS4s (205/45/17s) last Friday from my local tyre place, were delivered Saturday morning. Maybe mine are a common size?
Yep. And type model.Pilot Port Cup 2's are a lot less common than Pilot Sport 4/5 or Primacies; they tend to be on stuff like GT3 911s and the like.

I can't seem to get PS4S in my size at the moment. I'm looking at changing all 4 for my car so considering the Conti Sport Contact 7's instead. In work we're struggling to get Goodyear tyres for some of our cars at the moment so maybe it's just a general tyre supply issue?
