286 or 282mm brake discs
Discussion
Hello,
Ordering front and rear brakes/dics soon, and saw on GSF Delphi brakes/discs. For the rear I see there is an option of 282 or 286mm based on my car reg. If I review ECP offerings they all appear to be 286mm (Bosch, Paggid etc).
I prefer to go with GSF Delphi but they have 282mm rear discs.
Trend appers to be 286mm.
- Will 282mm be ok?
- Delphi brakes better than say Bosch?
Many thanks.

That sounds like a typo or small error in the database, where there are two choices of disc its usually a larger difference between the options, ie for my Forester the options for rear discs are 266 and 285.7mm.
But as above, measure yours, and note if there's a ridge of unswept friction area of the disc on the outside so if these really were 4mm diameter smaller (which i doubt will be the case when you offer them back to back with the old ones) you would still have pad contact within the outer edge.
