I have a set of wheels I need to change because tyres are impossible to find unless I go for 4x4 tyres, which I don't want.

I know what dimensions I can go to in order to retain rolling radius, but then all the tyre websites say they don't have any tyres in that size.

So how can I find out what tyres are actually available without having to specify the size first?

I'm going from 15" to 16 or 17, and they're staggered. The rears are 255 wide (and these are the problem) and the fronts are 225.

My replacement wheels don't have to be the same width, although I'd like them to be. I don't even need the new wheels to be the same diameter front and back.

How do I find what 16" or 17" tyres are available in, say 245 - 255 widths without searching for every possible width and profile?

Have a look on Camskill, they have a list of all available sizes to pick from.

If you’re after a specific tyre, the manufacturer website usually lists all possible sizes.

Ancient woodland, field entrances and hedgerows are good places to start. Bring a trailer and I'll point you in the direction of some bonza finds.
