Chaps, whilst changing lane at 65mph from left to right I suddenly got a pronounced vibration from the NS/F wheel.

It didn’t reoccur on the journey but I did take it easy home. I don’t think it was a rumble strip or something in the road.

I checked the wheel nuts; all torqued to spec.

Any ideas? Wheel bearing maybe?

Not the most exciting thread ever but I would be very grateful for any advice, ideas or abuse, as the car is my wife’s Pug 3008 petrol.

Jack it up and you'll see if there is any play in the bearings. Bear in mind that sometimes the vibration can be caused by the other side.

Could be a number of things... wheel bearing, thrown a wheel balance weight, knackered drive shaft, or maybe you just hit a bit of crap tarmac.
Vibrations are a bugger to diagnose.

I'd check wheel nuts (all round!), bearings, make sure there's no damage to the tyres, check pressures, and gently take it up to the same speed to see if you can replicate the problem

Were you braking, accelerating or anything else at the time?

I am going to take a stab at top suspension mounting as a possibility. As well as the obvious, caliper, bearing, ball joints etc

But needs jacking up and checking everything related to that wheel/side.

What car and age is it ?

take a good look at the tyre, had a thumping years ago and eventually found a lump in the tread
