As this particular corner of pistonheads helped me in the past, I'm back with another query. My dad is restoring a TR7 Drophead but is missing a few parts that Rimmer Bros just don't seem to have to hand.

He's missing a dipstick (TKC5515 on rimmer bros, not sure if that's a Triumph part number) and a fuel filler bezel (YKC3355).

I'm just wondering if these parts were used in any other BL cars, which should cut out search down a bit? I did hear rumblings of the dipstick from the dolomite being the same but can't be sure.

Thanks in advance.

There's more than one parts supplier you know (most of them cheaper than Rimmer Bros).

James Paddock list the dipstick at £5 (used).

Revington TR may have the fuel bezel (call for details).

You could also give Robsport or S&S Preparations a try - they both normally keep a stock of old TR7s for breaking.

That was quick, thank you both.

I managed to get both parts from S&S Prep, didn't realise they and the other places existed.

Thanks again, it's much appreciated.

In my TR7 days it was always Robsport then S&S, Rimmer were always a long way down the list & generally most expensive.

I've bookmarked them for future use. Thanks again for your help.

I find the Rimmers catalouge is very handy with the exploded diagrams for reference.
Then I buy from S&S or Robsport, who are cheaper and always with plenty of free advice
