Hello!

Just thought I'd post a quick Hello to all Triumph owners/enthusiasts.

Hopefully I'll be spending most of my time in the Triumph lounge (and Jaguar!) and will be able to offer advice to owners who are seeking help.

I worked in the R&D Dept. at Moss Europe Ltd (Classic car parts organisation) before my Current job as UK product Manager for NGK Spark plugs (So I can help with those queries also!)and I learned a lot about Triumphs/MGs and generally most of the British cars from the 60/70s.

I've owned 4 Triumph Stags over a 10 year period so they are the ones of most interest for me. One of the cars was a complete rebuild which involved new complete floor panels.

I have tried uploading pics of my cars but they don't seem to work so I'll experiment a bit more with that.

Regards
Tej

Thanks for the welcome chaps.

And No, I am not a glutton for punishment and never actually had any engine trouble from any of the Stags I owned. 1 of them had a Rover V8, I know rolleyes but I had to see what all the fuss was about and I didn't like it myself TBH. I think the car in particular wasn't converted properly so felt a bit vague when driving. Wasn't nice. But the other 3 Triumph V8 engined examples were lovley. The first one I bought was when I was 21 years old and it was my only car and daily driver. It's the same with anything really, as long as you have some mechanical sympathy, machines will last a long time.

Most of the cars I've owned were apparently troublesome money pits but I always seem to prove my friends/family wrong smile

My pics seem to be taking a long time to be 'approved' so I don't know if this is normal or just a problem at present. I will carry on with that quest..

Didn't know pics had to be approved...but then it's been a while since I was a new member.

Have you tried the 'Upload an image (beta)' option at the top of the reply to topic box? Works pretty well usually, or you can just use photobucket or similar and copy the html code straight into your reply.

I don't understand either. It's the pictures of cars in my garage that I am having trouble with. All I see is a black square and no image even though they were uploaded days ago. They were image links from other forums so maybe that is not allowed on here? Dunno, suppose I'll have to check out the rules for posting etc.

And I don't have a Photobucket (or similar) account so will create one of those, upload pics and then go from there.

Maybe uploading them to a post is easier, I'll try that.........

Ah, that seems to work fine so I'll just do that from now and not bother with the profile/garage pics.

Nice pic!

The link you used in that post should work in your garage, although it'll be sized oddly. I also had trouble with pics in the garage, I suspect it's a size issue....it does seem to be a bit picky.

Looks good, is that a standard triumph colour?
