Well, there's one positive thing about moving back home...

...after breaking up with the girlfriend.
I get to drive my dads TR-6 when ever I feel like it (as long as it's dry of course!).
Took it for a 19mile drive around Hertfordshire this Sunday gone and it's a real joy to drive. The front dampers need doing, the drive-shafts need replacing and could do with a few other bits and pieces doing to it, but this is what makes owning them fun. It also could benefit from a whole new exhaust system, as the overall quality of the car is excellent. It had a full nut-and-bolt rebuild back in 1988 which cost a measley £1800 and is only now beginning to show signs of micro-blistering and patina.
As a mechanic by trade, I'll be the one to inherit the jobs on it. I plan to get to as many classical meets within a respectable distance and as long as the weather is decent.
