Last seen under a tarp in Bath due to the guy I sold it to not knowing what the little green oil light was!
It was a monster (2.6) and pretty rust free (complete rebuild late 80s).HBD350L
Any ideas?

Not quite as good as the yellow one but still solid (I swapped it for a Passat, it made sense at the time).

This old bird was a genuine PI estate, completely rebuilt the body, it had a 2500s clothe interior and wheels but otherwise a gem (rebuilt engine as well) I'd buy this back if I could (and the yellow GT6)
Any ideas chaps
Cheers

IIRC you can write a letter to the DVLA and they will forward it on to the current owner for you.

http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/
select 'vehicle enquiery'

You can also go here:
http://www.askmid.com/ownvehicle/

But you are only allowed to use it if the vehicle belongs to you.

Thankinyou very much, good stuff.
I may give it a try on the PI and BWE.
The PI had larger valves and a ported head plus a few freeflow bits (it was a long time ago) it was a major rebuild at the time. New o/d box as well. I scrapped a 2000 just for the carpet set, those were the days (the 2000 was too rotten for the bangers the engine and box lived on in another 2000).
I have a load of photos of the PI in various points of rebuild somewhere. It was a great car and I used it to run from Bath to St Just often, I traded it for a 2.8 Granny Ghia X Est, which wasn't as good but I was swayed by gadgets.
I'm wiser now.
How about this one?

Now that realy needed a rebuild there isn't enough space to list the problems I had with that old slag sorry stag.
Cheers

I bought HBD 350L GT6 mk3 near Bedford in 88 - but sold it in Swindon in autumn of 90 before moving abroad. I never fully restored it but it was a beauty and only 2litre! It was great fun flying past MGB's & Spitfires on the A40 from Oxford to Cheltenham! Living in the islands the only suitable vehicle is a Defender!

Trevithick,

The TSSC caters for all Triumph cars, although mainly the 'small chassis' cars, inc. the GT6: https://forum.tssc.org.uk/
There are Stag and Triumph Saloon clubs also:
https://www.stag.org.uk/
https://triumph2000register.co.uk/triumph-2000-reg...

You could enquire on their message boards.

I found these 2 on the side of the road in the Chiltern hills between Lane End and Henley a few weeks ago. Sadly it appears the owners ain't doing anything other than letting them deteriorate to rust piles...
