Hi to all,

I'm thinking about building a Spitfire based kitcar. Would like to put some more power and torque in it, but without getting to much weight in front.
A small turbo engine looks good to me. Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Before adding too much more power I'd look at what transmission and rear axle you are going to use.

If you hit 120BHP and a chunk of additional torque... the Triumph diff won't be too long for this world (it was origonally designed for the Herald with c.50BHP)!

Hi guys,

thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the transmission problem.
I'm thinking of swapping not only the engine, but also gearbox and diff.
or getting a 1500 spit tuned...
