Triumph TR6 Glove Box install.
Discussion
Having had the glove box out to ease removal of the heater assembly, refitting it seemd a real issue. I had already got the support bar out and relevant hose off the heater output spigot, but it appeared impossible to satisfactorily refit it. I realise I must have considerably squashed it to get it out.
Either way, after a lot of faffing around, I found the solution. There is an eyeball vent on the backiside of the dash aimed at the footwell. This is supported on a bracket attached by two screws to the downward facing section of the main metal dash panel. Undo these and move the vent and its hose out of the way and suddenly there is enough room to manoeuvre the box into place. There is still an element of squashing and pushing required, but nothing drastic.
Should add, this is a RHD car -- no idea if it applies to LHD.
