Hi ,

Looking for my old triumph Vitesse FUU 428J, purchased off the 1st owners Mechanic with a "5" cylinder engine (long before Audi!!!),unbelievably it had dropped a valve so in his wisdom he cut down the con rod and "fire gummed" the top end, those of the right age will remember those sort of shenanigans...we are talking early mid 80's!!, so rebuilt a replacement engine, new clutch brakes etc, etc, etc (I owned a car spares shop ....very handy!) Enjoyed the car, touring Brittany, West Wales and Devon before selling it to a mate....for some unfathomable reason he stripped it down (body off) then left it https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/7.gif, I found out and bought it back replacing a couple of outriggers , then stone chipping and painting the chassis in 2 pack to match the body, suspension rebuilt etc, etc ,etc, unfortunately ....car spares no longer the business to be in and had to sell the business and the car, it went to Ruislip area... I think (was along time ago) in bits , can see last V5 change was 2011, and last MOT 2014, so obvs re-assembled by someone somewhere, would be interested in buying it back but having difficulty finding it, did contact TSSC and was told it had not long been sold and the new owner was not a member. Was last seen Triumph white , GT6 Steels, black interior all else STD, probably v early 90's, have tried Faceache but no luck....fingers crossed, currently have a TVR V8S which I'm now finding a bit too loud so looking to change
