I’m trying to trace the above car, a 1972 white GT6, on behalf of a friend.

It belonged to her husband’s parents for 30 years and meant a great deal to the family. They both died, in quick succession, in the noughties and the car passed to her husband. They kept it for a few years but then loss of storage, young family etc. forced a sale in 2010. It’s not had an MOT since 2011 (but of course is now of an age where it doesn’t need one) and is currently SORNed and uninsured. There was a new V5C issued in 2013 but whether that was a change of address or ownership I don’t know.

My friend and her husband both turn 50 this year and ideally she would like to buy it for him. If it’s not for sale then being able to leave contact details for a possible future purchase would be great.

I will post on any Triumph forums I can find, but any leads gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, they may want to post on https://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/fo... though I think membership may be required.

They could contact ttp://www.tr-register.co.uk/contact and request research/a connection. I believe there might be a small fee, but between those two they're the best leads I can give.

Try the TR Register, but for a 'small chassis' Triumph, the TSSC or Club Triumph might do better:
As a non-member you may not be able to post on the message board, but ask the head office:

Good luck!
