Having spent the last year looking for a classic Mustang and getting tired of seeing panel gaps ranging from 1mm at the top of the wing to 10mm at the bottom, I decided to look at something else biggrin

Picked up this TR6, 40km up the road from where I live in Germany. It's a lovely little thing smile

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions over here you can't just rock up at the local town hall and register it, you have to make an appointment and as such I have had to wait a week and a half to be allowed to register it, which I'm finally doing today!! After all the beautiful weather it's now going to rain for at least another week. Typical!

Looks a really nice sorted car. They are great cars with bags of Character, also they have that lovely straight six rasp. I love mine.

I've had mine for 25 years now, and I've just come in from the garage having been gazing lovingly at it. It's just a great all round sportscar – not too expensive, not too thirsty, not stupidly fast but can keep up, not stupidly raw. Reliable. Rugged. Just a nice balance.

I've just got one too. I like it but can't wait for some shows to be allowed.

I’d certainly have another.

I used one as a daily driver in the 80s.

thumbup I opened the thread and noticed that before I read your comment!

Looks alot better I think, don't you? Your car was lovely anyway, but the grille area looks so much more cohesive with that done. There are often comments about this on the FB group I've noticed.

Edited to add...

wink Now you just need to source some chrome-edged repeater lenses. Not easy to find, but not impossible...

True, I'm waiting for one side from Rimmer Bros ... can't remember which side I need but it's not in stock frown

Lovely to see so many TR6's on here, I'm really starting to enjoy mine thumbup

Last Friday was great weather over here so we took a trip to Cochem next to the Mosel river. Absolutely lovely and we ended up doing nearly 200kms, my big bald forehead is now a brown crispy mess and Mrs A has told me off, again, for not wearing a hat. biggrin

It's got carbs.

Where is the injection.

I had a TR6 for a few years, really enjoyed it but did have some issues with the quality of after market parts.

Carbs went on all USA exports, and bigger tyres too.

Well yes and no ... the UK TR5 was exported with carbs to the USA as the TR250 ... the UK TR6 was exported with carbs to the USA as the TR6. About 80,000 TR6s went to the USA whereas about 8,000 were sold in UK.
