TR4/5/6 Measurement
Discussion
Hi Folks,
I'm working on a wee project and wonder if someone with access to a TR6 (or 4/5) might be able to take a couple of measurements for me?
With the windows up, I'm looking for the width across the car between the top and the bottom of the trailing edge of the side windows(at the B post).
If someone could check this with a tape measure on an actual car (I only have scaled drawings to hand at this stage) it would be much appreciated
Many thanks,
Al

Hi Al,
Got the following measurements off my TR6. Figures are from outside of glass to outside of glass:
Across bottom of trailing edge of glass: 1173mm
Across top of trailing edge: 1064mm
The top measurement is roughly at the midpoint of the radius between the trailing vertical edge and top horizontal of the glass. If I measure just forward of the radius on the top horizontal, it is a couple of mm less.
Hope that is clear, and helps!
I'm trying to guess what your project is...

Al,
Top of side windows at windscreen gives 1041mm.
At bottom of side windows I get 1170mm, by measuring inside dimension (1160mm) and adding 10mm for two thicknesses of glass.
I suspect that these figures could be affected by a number of factors such as door fit so, depending on the accuracy you are after, it may be worthwhile to get measurements from more than one car.
