They're getting scarce these days. I haven't seen one for a good while. Do you prefer the fixed head to the dhc?

Yes prefer FHC I had two back in the eighties. I have been on the TR register and put a wanted ad but nothing has turned up yet.Log on to the TR Register or the Tr Drivers club sites and you may see something in the classifieds.
I have a July '80 (from memory) Canley-built FHC Premium but with red check rather than tan interior. Black with silver striping/logos, Edrose roof. Currently off the road with a small amount of welding required in a couple of places for MOT and a some other rust spots here and there, the worst being the front left arch. Quite a few upgrades: Dolomite Sprint 16v engine with K&Ns, tubular manifold, stainless sports exhaust, Kenlowe fan, Spax lowering springs/ uprated shocks (rear are adjustable), Wilwood billet Dynalite front brakes, MGF 15" alloys, Cibie fogs, Mountney leather wheel, Nakamichi/Rockford Fosgate stereo...and probably a load of other things that don't come to mind right now.
I've had it for about 13 years, and haven't been of a mind to ever consider selling it, but becoming a father a couple of months ago has made me look at whether a fun car with more than two seats might be more useful! I've absolutely no idea what it might be worth these days. Let me know if interested, I'm just outside Edinburgh.
