Spitfire with turbo engine
Discussion
Hi,
I thought you might like to see my Spitfire with a mazda mx5 turbo lump. It was on the road last year as supercharged and the diff is holding up OK. Not hard starts is the key. Drilled discs / better pads / poly bushed. Looking to go LSD next year. Running megasquirt.

Hi Martin
Looking fantastic.
One of my friends just finished a rebuild of his Spitfire, now with a 4.0 Ford V6 engine (before it had a 2.8 V6), T5 gearbox, BMW M3 LSD and a MX5/home designed double A arm rear suspension. And the package transformed the car completly, specially the rear end rebuild. And it's done without modifying the chassis, and the car looking completly stock, but driving like a race car.
PM me with your email if you want to get in contact with him.
He came home from Goodwood today, and the british roads did require a casualty, but a bit more iron will make it last :-)
