Seeking a GT6 - Series 3
Discussion
Good Afternoon ..
I am looking to acquire a GT6 and thought this would be a good place to start. I am looking for something that is not perfect so a bit of a project. I can do most things, so happy to tackle something that has mechanical issues - blown engine for example or in need of suspension overhaul or a respray, but preferably not a major body off strip down and start again job.
I am hoping to gather a few pointers from your collective knowledge on things to look out for and what to avoid (after market items that just don't work for example) as I start my quest.
Not in any rush, and not been to see anything in the flesh yet - still at the research on the Interweb stage
Time and advice appreciated

I am member of both the 2 main clubs involved with the GT6. Club Triumph see: http://club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/cars/clubcars.c...
and TSSC http://www.tssc.org.uk/tssc/cars_final.asp?model_I...

Mechanicals are cheap and simple so buy on bodywork as even that slight bubbling of the rear arches will probably turn in to half the car when you start to chase it (not specific to the GT6 but any classic car really).
There's usually a good range of Mk3s around (unlike the earlier marks), both on the two club sites and also on eBay.
