Ah yes can explain that one, long time fan of the forum but didn't joint up till I saw the car get a mention. Bought it a few years back already sporting the sticker from a fellow PH'er. It was only recently I noticed that it is covering a small ding in the back panel !!!
Aha! Beware the PH sticker I have never driven it in anger, It's the most recent addition to the fleet. I bought if off car and classic from a chap that had prepared it for Time and distance/Tarmac rallying. It's got a safety devices roll cage, lowered, LSD, OD box from a big saloon, TR5 profile cam, moss stage 2 head, 1 3/4 inch SU's,oil cooler and lots of other bits that make it a hoot to drive.

My unhealthy addiction to triumphs started with one of those many moons ago when I used to be dropped of to school in one, that was until mum backed it into a tree!!!
At the time I thought it was a scary performance car..Now and again the old chap would let me borrow it.

Good to hear of another vitesse being readied for the road, got any pics ? I love anything with that triumph straight six, the sound is addictive
I'll try and dig out a pic, it's been on the road for about 8 years now (belongs to my dad) my uncle is rebuilding a mk1 that should be on the road in time for summer. It's a great sound, I love tunnels!here it is

Had to bend it about a bit, and after i heat wrapped it the studs were a bit of a pain to locate. Worst part is that it sits too low past the chassis rails leaving it exposed to speed bumps!! If you search the club triumph and tssc forums it seems a well made 6-3-1 manifold for the GT/Vit with nice equal 17 inch primaries that doesn't cost 4 figures has been talked about/ wanted by club members for over 10 years . I think people have looked into getting a batch made but not sure on the outcome.
