Triumph 2500/Stag - Rover v8 front coilover conversion query
Discussion
Hi everyone, it's my first post so please forgive me if this topic has been covered before, I did have a quick search.
I have recently bought a Triumph Stag with a Rover V8 engine conversion, it goes well enough but I've never been happy with the ride. I've tried a couple of sets of front springs but both are extremely stiff. They are apparently Rover v8 replacement springs (no idea who made them) and although taking into account the reduced weight of the engine I think the car still sits a bit too high.
I was wondering if any members have or knows of anybody who's modified the front strut tubes to accept adjustable height spring platforms and any idea of a ballpark spring rate required, although I imagine that could be a fair chunk of trial and error anyway.
Thanks very much indeed,
Frank

Hi, many thanks for information guys.
I remember the lad I bought the car from told me he'd bought quite a few bits from Monarch during the conversion but didn't know how much experience they have with Triumph Stags with RV8 conversions, I've had a look on their website and they appear to know these cars inside out, I'll definitely be giving them a call.
Thanks once again,
Frank.
