I don't think there can mean many stags out there like this one - it's my father's car and although he's owned it since 1989 it's not turned a mile at all in that time.........

He bought the car with 54,000 miles on it with a full service history and various MOT's etc.
He then stripped the car down to its bare metal and replaced an awful lot of body parts removing all of the rust except blood normally forms on them including new inner and outer sills, wheel arches, wings and door skins.

He then had the cart fully repainted using two pack Inca yellow ( its original colour).
He then collected a series of new parts to go on the car and have all of the chrome work restored, he purchased new carpets, new windscreen and a new hood.

Before he then had a chance to put it all back together he then started a new business venture which took all of his time and the car has been sat in that condition ever since.
It hasn't turned a single mile since 1989, it did have an engine rebuild in 1987, but needless to say it won't turnover now after being static for so long.

He's had the car dry stored since 1989, but the storage company closed down and it's been sat under a cover on his drive for the last 18 months.

I tried to talk him into selling it for a number of years, and I think he's finally decided that it needs to go to someone who will lovingly put it back together and actually use it.

To me it's a crying shame each time I pull up in his drive to see this cover sat over a car which has been his for so long and yet he's never driven.

My stag suffered same fate... Bought in 1998.. Almost full restoration needed a door trim to finish and a couple of minor bits.... Took it for an mot.... It overheated... Went home pushed it back in the garage and there it has sat ever since..... One day ill try again!!!! Only driven it twice!!!

Jezz,
there may be other Stag owners in your area,
The Stag Owners Club, by definition alreay have a Stagm so they may not want another, but may know soemone who does. http://www.stag.org.uk/
And other Triumph clubs have Stag sections, and are morelikely to have memebsr looking for a project like this. Club Triump and the TSSC for instance:

The stag is still sat in my dad's drive under a cover. If you are serious in wanting a project such as this by all means feel free to drop me a PM all reply to this posting.

I'm hoping to convince him to let me advertise it on ebay and in classic car magazine shortly.

Honestly OP, I think the best thing to do is for you to rebuild the car which actually isn't that hard. All the difficult stuff has already been done - getting the car rust free and painted.
