hello, Well here goes...I don't want to upset anyone/thing.I was recently reading an article in an old edition of Triumph World called High Speed Files about a TR6 built by Jon Wood .It all sounded very very good.I would like to know more about his crank damper. So have been trying to get in contact with him.Regards,Michael. (I'm in Australia.)
Hello VPR, I'm not a computer person so will get my wife to search for me. I was in contact Jon about a crank damper but lost the thread (as I said not a computer...) Have nearly finished rebuilding the motor and would like it to stay together.(2.7L + most of the associated mods.) Regards,Michael.

Hello vpr, Would still like to get in touch with Jon but can't see any thing on "facebook" that looks like him? Like to know a bit more about your rebuild too.Regards,Michael.(Australia).
Hi I’m not an engine builder but I know an engine/machine shop that help me with all my engine stuff and have built stuff before
So I bought ALL my stuff from a well known UK supplier/specialist. I went with jenvey Heritage throttle bodies so fill mapped. 2.6, forged rods and pistons, lightened balanced, strengthened ect, you name it I bought it.
On initial start up it would run for 20 seconds and come to a grinding stop. Obviously very tight.
Long story short, this it when I gave the whole car to Jon. It became apparent on him stripping it that the rings (although gapped Correctly) were too deep in shape and so seized in the bores.
So Jon is sorting it. Jon isn’t I’m easily contactable unfortunately and I am struggling BUT if and when I do get hold of him I will ask if I can pass his number to you.
Hello vpr, That looks good.Same colour and the steering wheel is in the same place too.Mine has Mazda pistons 77.5 mm and similar to yours in other parts,Have a 123 programmable distributor also.Would be good if I could get in touch with Jon re one of his crank dampers.I was in contact but lost contact before I got a price off him.Regards,Michael.
