Racing Colours
Discussion
Try a google search for ADU 1B, This will give you the colours that the spitfires raced in at Le Mans.
Apart from that I think that the works rally cars (spitfires), were a pale blue and the Dolomites and TR 7's raced in Rothmans colours, and possibly that the big saloons were white with a matt black bonnett.
There were other colour schemes in the states, for example, group 44 cars and the famous candy box
Vittesse of kastner.
Don't put too much stock in this though, as my knowledge is limited.
happy googling.

The rally Spirfires were just power blue and the rally big saloons white with black bonnets, so not very exciting.
Le Mans colours were BRG + red/yellow/white, for both the earlier TRs
and later Spitfires
The TR7/8 rally cars were generally red/white/blue
A lot of Kas Kastner's cars raced in Quaker State colours

there was the Spitfire 'Monaco' as well, silver IIRC, looked pretty snazzy.
I think you probably mean the Macau Spitfire, of which there was the original, which competed at the Macau Grand Prix and last known in the care of Canley Classics, and an extremely good replica, built by Bernard Robinson and I believe still resides at the Triumph Sports Six Club HQ in Lubenham.rallyspit said:
