You do need to ring round all the specialist people and see what they can offer. Classicline is generally cheap but no use for me as you have to garage your car (ie you can't leave it on the drive - assuming it is garaged overnight)or you aren't covered for theft even during the day when you are home for maybe an hour or less which does seem silly so I avoided them for that reason - I eventually went with Henderson Taylor who are worth talking to along with the others - you then need to decide what you need from them and decide accordingly. eg. some cover you for theft of the car if parked with the roof off (for info HT don't cover you for theft if left with the roof off assuming you have the roof with you but strangely if you don't have the roof (ie you've left it at home or wherever) you are covered which seems bonkers but there we are ...) others don't so it can be a bit of a minefield.

You need to be sure of this because I heard the same, but, I had a good long chat with the very helpful chaps there and was assured that during the day is fine, it's just over night.

Quite a lot of people are getting excellant quotes from Henderson Taylor. There are 4 TVR owners i know who have saved significantly. Speak to Matt at HT and see what he can do, nice guy to deal with.

REIS who were previously Richard Egger were the best for me. This is with 5000 limited miles and an agreed value by sending 5 photos.

Renewed Monday. Fourth year Ecclesiastical through Peter Best Ins. Service first class as is cover.

Jumped from 3000 to 5000 miles this coming year, taken excess to £200 from £100, cost £8 + tax more. Declared two x 3 points. First 3 not count. 6 points = 25% load. No biggie £75 increase but hey ho, nasty cop. Dismissed legal protection. + 1 named driver (she's worth every penny)

Fully comp £15000 agreed, no glass excess - all glass covered. Garage between 10pm - 6am unless using. Full UK Euro breakdown / recovery with options.

Was £299 renewal - increased to £391 additional miles / points declared.

If everyone made the effort to keep the Wiki up to date then the info would always be there for anyone that needs it type
