Wanted. Shabby Or Body Damaged Chimaera/Griffith.

I've a project in mind that involves a Chimaera or Griffith chassis, probably the former given the number there are around, ideally one with unregistered panel damage but good underpinnings. Things like paintwork, wheels and roof are unimportant. Oh, and a 5.0 if that's not too much trouble (on my wish list).

I've approached a few insurers but of course they just take the line of least resistance and offload their salvage to dealers. The latter aren't too fussed about selling a whole car (more to be made from the parts) or if they are ask laughable prices.

If you're doing your 'rebody' project I'd buy a new chassis from TVRPower/RCRacing and then a cheap basket case so you have a VIN then transfer the bits you want to your new chassis and then sell the trim and body as repair panels to a bodyshop.

i know of a rolling chimaera chassis for sale at sensible money(ex top gear project)if your intrested mail me and i can pass the details on

I am Got Dom and A N Other on the case for a donor but thought there might be an owner out there with something shabby. Someone has already finished one but on a 'lesser' donor, I'd like to first with one on a TVR.
