what car instead of a tiv

currently thinking of sellin my tam for a cerb but im tempted by a few other cars namely noble or a v8 espirit. anyone care to share any experiances of owning said cars in comparison to a tvr.

It took me a while to understand the question

I haven't owned either a Noble or an Esprit but I drove them both before deciding on the Tuscan.

Both have much better handling than the Tuscan, the noble is very fast and feels more like a semi stripped out racer, the Lotus was great but felt a tad dated inside. For me I wanted a rawish GT car, the Noble was too much a racer (I didnt feel that I would have any chance of arriving at meetings at all relaxed), the Esprit I liked but its too wide for my garage unless I have millimeter precise judgement.

Noble owners and Esprit owners love their cars. As with all low volume cars you need to drive several of each (hard to do) and then decide

I thought Tiv drivers 'progressed' to Astons afterwards. They don't really do anything for me so it would be a Noble.......or a splitty!

Used to like Monaro's but that would seem a backwards step now unless it's a Bathurst!

I was going to say Noble M12, or if I had the money a baby Aston Martin Realisticly though, the Cerb will be the peak of my driving career for a good while to come!

If I was being forced to sell the Griff, and wasn't allowed another TVR, the only thing I'd replace it with is a V8 Vantage (preferably a later 4.7 but that wouldn't be essential.)

I`ve always thought in my old age when I want a more relaxing drive it would be an aston, or I quite like the masserati 3200gt.

Aston immediately springs to mind but the V8 Vantage is a little bit too small and not mean enough whereas the larger Astons seem to be money pits eg the DB9? But I think I would go DB9 or possibly a Maserati GT.

forgot to mention my budget is about 25k. to be honest i really fancy a cerb but just wondered about other options.

A 996 TT or 997 'S' would be in budget. The former being crippling expensive for parts afaik.
A cerb after a Tam might feel less on its toes in the twisties.
Maybe go for a very late Cerb and spend some money on Intrax/Ohlins.
