Africa or Bust

Only just got around to sorting the photos from the summer but some of you might find them interesting.

The Plan: Drive to Africa and back in one week in a TVR with the roof off

Day 1: Maidenhead to Portsmouth and catch the ferry to Santander.
Day 2: Santander to Sevilla
Day 3: Savilla to Tanger
Day 4: Tanger to Puerto Banus
Day 5: Puerto Banus to Madrid
Day 6: Madrid to Santander
Day 7: Catch ferry to Plymouth and back to Maidenhead.

We used my mate Simons (skin_500) Chimaera 500 for the trip and it performed better than us most of the time in temperatures over 40 degrees.

All in all we had an fantastic trip with fantastic weather well until we were back in the UK

I have to say driving past a Camel in Africa in an TVR will be something I will remember for a long time... That and nearly eating brains

Much interest would be an under statement the car really was the star of the trip.

It would have been a bit of a challenge if we had need to fill up luckily we had enough to last us.

They looked much like early garages with a workshop and a pump out front and they only take cash apparently...

Looks awesome! What were the roads like in North Africa? I was going to make some comment about third world tarmac, then I remembered what the byeways of leafy Hertfordshire are like at the moment.

The main roads were fine however the smaller ones were shocking the standard of driving was also VERY poor and with sand all over the roads its like driving on ice.

The car was totally fine no problems with over heating at all. To be fair the car was awesome the whole trip
